If you happen to own any PC games by Electronic Arts (EA) (such as Sims 2, Sim City, Spore, Command & Conquer, etc) then at some point you might have needed to reinstall your games, requiring their unique license keys printed on the game booklets. If you happen to lose these booklets, you can still access your game keys online as long as you have registered your games with EA.
It is my opinion that EA's website is confusing to navigate. I have read that you can just login on the main site and there will be a tab you can click to view a list of your games, but no matter how hard I tried I could not find it. :P So I did some more poking around...and finally...after several minutes of frustration, I figured it out!
- Go to http://support.ea.com (NOT the main page)
- Click the "Login" link and login with your information
- Click "My Games" in the sidebar
- Login again :P
- Type your password one more time
- Finally, click the "My Games" tab
Ta da! :goodie: All of your games and their registration codes will be listed. I think it's lame that I couldn't access this info from my account page on the main site, but whatever. :P Hopefully this will help anyone who loses their booklets! I've lost two myself, so I was very happy to find them recorded online.

March 28th, 2009 at 11:45amI wound up losing 4 of my booklets. So to prevent myself from having to pay another $40 to get the stupid codes again, I now write the codes on the cds, in a spreadsheet, & on a text file that my father keeps. That way I have three different places to get my serial numbers. I am paranoid I know.

March 30th, 2009 at 12:53pmThere's actually a way to get them out of your computer as long as you haven't uninstalled. I googled it when I installed the Sims on my new laptop and realised I'd lost the booklets. I also wrote down the codes just in case.

March 30th, 2009 at 1:00pmYeah! There's a program called like "Sims 2 Key Printer" or something that does that. I used it once before. I do like being able to find them online as well, though, as an added backup! EA really needs to make one huge DVD or offer some super Sims 2 collection or something that you can upgrade to if you've bought all the games! Arrrrg! XO

March 31st, 2009 at 6:47pmNot if I have to pay for it, lol. I totaled up the entire cost of my Sims Games 1 & 2 & came up to over $1000. That is why I am not getting Sims 3. I couldn't believe it. That cost was crazy to me. I would much rather spend that money on books or music, lol.

April 2nd, 2009 at 4:46amIt all comes down to preferences in the end, in my opinion. As I would rather spend money on games than books or music. :P I think if anyone were to add up the total cost of any hobby they enjoy they will probably be surprised at the total. But again, it all depends on your preferences and what is worth it to you. To me, the Sims games are worth it. :D
